1. When to call it quits for the week.

I’m feeling kind of burned out for the week. Good thing it’s Friday! That means it’s time to go home, get some rest, catch some live music, and come back to work on Sunday.

Joshua Blankenship (who’s online exploits I’ve followed for a while now) just posted an excellent diagnosis for what I’m feeling right now. I suggest you go read that right now and avoid becoming like me.

    • Tracey: Dave what kind of virus protection should we put back on to our lap top?
    • Me: That's out of my expertise really, but Avast is free and decent. Norton costs money, but I suppose is good as well. The best protection is good browsing habits.
    • Me: The biggest thing is not using Internet Explorer, not opening attachments from people you don't know, and not believing Nigerians.
  2. New camera at the office

We got our first HD comcorder in the other day. We went with a Panasonic HPX170, and we love it. Here are some stills from our first shoot with it.

  3. I’ve been feeling a little frustrated with myself this week. It seems since my vacation I’ve felt nothing but tired and unmotivated. This is not good in my field of work, SPREADING THE GOSPEL. I thought the vacation would help me to collect myself and charge up for a huge push to get things accomplished, but it’s had the reverse effect.

I’m reminded that Paul had to beat his own body into submission (1 Corinthians 9:27), so that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to force myself to get enough sleep, wake up on time, spend time in God’s presence, excercise regularly, and get stuff done.

  4. Ever since I came back from Florida, I’ve felt like crap. I don’t know what kind of bug I picked up, but I know it’s not from Florida. She would never do that to me. I probably got it from the Atlanta airport, which was a pile of dookie.

  5. Touchdown in Florida!

  6. At the gate. It’s easy going from here on.

  8. The Never-ending Summer of Fun is on hold for today.

I’m tired from relentlessly squeezing every last second out of the season for what it’s worth and I need a break. If you need me, I’ll be in the pool.

  9. The way my pedal board looks now. So new additions coming soon.

    aaronmitchellblog:

I understand the reason people like facebook and the like, but it fosters the depersonalization of our relationships.  I like face to face friendship, with all the awkward silences and bad breath (usually me) that a real life conversation can bring.  Proverbs 27:17 says there is a sharpening that takes place when we get together.  One thing I don’t want to be is dull.
